Who we are

Magz is the trading name of Wendel Fernandes de Lana Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação LTDA, CNPJ 61.046.560/0001-71, São Paulo, SP, Brazil. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei 13.709/2018, the LGPD).

Our data protection officer (encarregado) is Wendel Fernandes de Lana. You can reach him about any privacy question at wendel@magzconsulting.com.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and, as set up on this site, stores nothing in your browser. Vercel identifies a visit with a hash created from the incoming request, which resets every day, so visits cannot be linked to you or followed across days. We only see totals, such as how many people viewed a page.

We also count clicks on our WhatsApp and email links, with the page and the part of the page where they happened, to see which pages lead to conversations. These counts contain no names, phone numbers or message text.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is a note called magz-lang-hint, saved in local storage if you close the bar that offers the page in another language, so the bar does not come back. It never leaves your device, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Because we use no cookies or trackers for analytics or advertising, there is nothing to consent to, so we do not show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.

What we do not do

  • The contact form does not send anything to us. It only prepares a message in WhatsApp or your email app, and nothing is sent until you press send there.
  • The AI readiness checklist calculates your score in your browser. It is not sent anywhere unless you choose to share it with us.
  • We do not use advertising, tracking pixels, social media plugins or third party fonts. Every file on this site, including the fonts, is served from our own domain.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not send newsletters or marketing emails. If we ever start, we will ask for your consent first, and every email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Who we share data with

We only share personal data with providers that help us run Magz, and only what they need:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts this website and provides the visit statistics (United States).
  • WhatsApp, operated by Meta, when you choose to message us there. Your messages are also covered by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
  • Our email provider, which stores the messages sent to wendel@magzconsulting.com.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant, when needed for tax and legal duties.
  • Public authorities, when the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of these providers, such as Vercel and Meta, process data outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. When personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on the mechanisms allowed by article 33 of the LGPD and the rules of Brazil's National Data Protection Agency (ANPD), such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the LGPD you can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and give you access to it
  • correct data that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date
  • anonymise, block or delete data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the law
  • transfer your data to another provider, where the law allows
  • delete data processed with your consent, and withdraw that consent
  • tell you which organisations we have shared your data with
  • review decisions taken only by automated means that affect your interests

Email wendel@magzconsulting.com to make a request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within the time limits set by the LGPD. You can also complain to the ANPD at gov.br/anpd.

If you live outside Brazil, local laws such as the GDPR in Europe or the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia may give you similar rights. Contact us and we will help.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS) with a strict Content Security Policy. Access to the inboxes and accounts that hold your messages is limited to our founder. If a security incident could cause you relevant risk or damage, we will tell you and the ANPD as the law requires.

Children

This website is meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or adolescents.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the current version at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
